    Our Mission

The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

In 1972, a group of people in Western Wisconsin talked about the need for connecting with other people and with resources in order to cope with the challenges of epilepsy.  They decided to form what is now the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin, an affiliate of the Epilepsy Foundation National Office.  The Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin (EFWW) is dedicated to improving life opportunities for people with epilepsy and their families through advocacy, support & individual and community education. There are approximately 14,000 people in Western Wisconsin who have epilepsy. We help individuals and families within a 22 county radius with the many issues and difficulties from seizure disorders.
